Full Circle

Everything has a beginning and an end.

This weekend, the curtains came down on another Dodger Season. But unlike years of past, we were not making plans to do other things during September. The Dodgers had rallied and were in control of 1st place for the majority of the season, and it came to a spectacular end at the hands of a San Francisco squad that was ready to steal the pie from right under the Dodger's noses. With a swing of a bat, the Dodgers were propelled into uncharted territory, and the Giants post season hopes were becoming more and more inprobable.

It's been a great year guys. This is by far the most memorable year of Dodger baseball since 1988. And the simple reason this was so: You had heart.

You had infielders sacrificing bodies to make plays. You had people that were hurt that continued to play on, becoming a front runner for the MVP. You had outfiedlers making amazing plays, during opportune times. 2004 Dodgers....you have my heart, and although the pain felt inside me watching Cora go down in the 9th inning against Jason Isringhausen, I could not feel anything but PROUD for the work that you all had accomplished. 53 come from behind wins...23 of them in your last at bat. Even tho your fans might have left in the 7th inning, I stood there...hands covering my mouth at times, at times my mouth left wide open so i can berate each and every one of you for mistakes you had made. But I never lost faith...and more importantly, never did you.

Think Blue. Bleed Blue. Bleed Baseball.
