Get One in the Five Hole Before the Goalie Closes His Legs!

The introduction of Winter in Southern California made it's rude awakening at 5:30 this morning. I thought I had slept in accidently and the sprinklers were on in the morning, but I looked at my cell fone, noticed i had missed 3 calls since 10:30 last night, and I knew I had more sleeping left in me. Then I realized our game would be rained out this morning, which allowed me to sleep until noon; that would help since I had woken up at 3:30 on Saturday morning.

Friday night, after getting back home from dinner with a friend, Jonathan called and wanted to go out in the morning. I set my alarm for 3:30, so we can catch the full day boat at 6 am, and I passed out...

At 3:30 am, my alarm goes off. At 3:30:02 am, my alarm goes off with me muttering, "Fuck off." At 3:31 am, my fone starts ringing. At 3:31:01, my phone is turned off and i'm muttering, "Fuck off."

At 4 am, i realize that if i stay home on Saturday, I'll be regretting it so I call Jonathan, tell him to be ready and we take off to San Pedro.

The pre-fishing ceremony of smoking a blunt and doing 75 in the car pool lane makes the trip a lot shorter. We don't talk much...Jonathan needs to be concentrated when rolling. We park, run out and run to the landing the get some good spots on the boat. We end up a few numbers near the starboard side, and we were unhappy at the fact that when we jumped on, all the rod holders had been taken and there were a bunch of Yahoos to the left and to the right of us. We put our gear on the center console with our rods sticking outta our bags until we moved to the back and used an empty milk carton to stuff our rods and our gear. We met Albert there. Albert's cool peeps. Thank god we got his # and I think we've found our 3rd Muskateer. He fits the qualifications we are looking for:

1. He fishes.
2. He KNOWS how to fish.
3. He uses Shimano gear.
4. He's not married.

and the MOST important feature of all.

5. He smokes weed.

I mean, this guy brought weed ON board and smoked it in the bathroom on the boat and gave us some. It was a good day...

Dolphins accompanied us all the way to Catalina. We saw an Opa on the way there, which meant that the water temp was still hot enough to have good surface action.

We hit up the backside of Catalina and had all the bonita we could manage. My arms are still tired from that day, and after catching limits for nearly everyone on board, we decided to play "Who can catch one with the lightest lines."

I threw a small Mega Bait and after my first fish, I knew i'd have to crimp my barbs so i can just shake the fish off at the rail. After the first stop, we had amassed approximately 30 bonita between Jonathan and I.

The yellowtail didn't show and only 1 was caught. And it was about a 5 pound yellowtail. My 9 pound bonita beat it for the jackpot. It was the 1st jackpot i've had on a open party boat. But, over all a great day. Albert and I made plans for the weekend to hit up San Diego once again, before major cold storms come in. Hopefully it'll happen.

And the Boston Red Sox are the biggest bunch of dickheads I've ever seen. They might be great people outside the diamond. I have never seen a team just fold us shop whenever they face the Yankees. Talk about Big Brother/Little Brother syndrome. Atleast my bitch ass of a little brother once kicked me in the mouth with boots on.
